beer place near Gang-Nam

It seems that I am introducing place near Gang-nam a lot. 

And it is true;; lol 

Since I am working near Gang-Nam, there isn't not many chance for me to visit other part of Korea. 

but I will try my best to introduce other place as well. 

anyways, today, I would like to introduce a beer place near Gang-Nam.

The place called 'Bronx' 

it sounds like a Germany... to me. 

'Bronx' has around 10 kinds of craft beer

and it taste pretty nice!

for food, personally I liked gorgonzola pizza than half-and-half

if you order half-and-half, you will get half pepperoni and half original.

Bears Town

Every Korean man join the army for two years. (More accurately, one year and ten months) 

So does my brother. It has been almost 6 months since my brother joined the army. 

 so, me and my mom decided to visit him for new year!! :)

My brother is serving at PoChun (which is a bit northern side of South Korea) and near the troop, there's ski resort!! 

 we decided to stay in the resort since we could get 'Army discount' which is almost 50%! 

 which means we paid only about $130 for a night! how was the resort? was pretty nice!

You could feel christmas feeling everywhere! 

Also, you can enjoy ski or slate! 

so it would be nice for a family!

Apps you should install on your phone before you arrive in Korea

There are few specific apps you should have if you want to stay in Korea. 

Apps you already have on your phone, such as google maps, wouldn't work as it used to. 

So, the first app you should have on your phone is 'Naver map' 

please, please do think that you will be alright with your google map app. 

because you are not! 

Personally I though the same way, but I ended up downloading Naver app. 

Second, download Ji Ha Cheol

This app is the most accurate subway app you can download. The app will tell you how many station you should go, and how long it will take to get your destination. 

The last app you may need to download is 'Kakao Talk'

Kakao Talk is number 1 messenger application in Korea. Almost all Korean use Kakao talk and they share kakao talk ID when they need to share contact. 

So, if you want to make friends in korea, and want to keep in touch even when you leave, you better have Kakao talk ID.

Campus seoul and a restaurant!

Google built six campus around the world. 

and Campus seoul is one of them! 

today, I would like to take you a tour to Campus seoul!

It is been less than an year since Campus seoul opened

but Campus seoul launched many interesting event.

Campus Seoul is located near Sam-Sung station. 

If you walk from Sam-sung station, it will take less than 10 min. 

You should get off from exit number 3 and walk strait from the exit. 

if you keep walking, you will find a building looks like below. 

Once you get into the building, go to basement. 

Once you enter the Campus seoul, you will see a cafe on your left side. 

but you need to make membership card fist to use the cafe. 

most of the drinks are offered in cheap price. 

Americano coffee is only $3!!!

If you get hungry after attending Google Campus Seoul event, 

just go to 1st ground to find restaurant. 

the place I decided to go was 'The RAVE

at 'The RAVE' you can have hamburg steak or the others.

Old Fashion DoSiRak

Today, I would like to introduce an Old fashion Dosirak (bento) to you. 

My mom and dad's generation used to bring Dosirak(bento) to school. 

Old fashion Dosirak has fried egg, sausage, and Kimchi. 

In that era, student with sausage and egg in their Dosirak was the star

(I should warn you that the sausage is not the one you are thinking right now :p)

Ask for 'Yet-nal Dosirak' when you order it :)

Amusement Park in Korea

Today I would like to introduce 'Lotte World' 

It is one of the top3 amusement park in Korea.

It is much smaller than 'Wonder Land' but still so famous!! 

Lotte World is the only indoor amusement park in Korea (as I believe). 

Also, since it's been K-drama which is really famous in China, you may confuse yourself that you are in China not in Korea. loll 

When you are visiting this place, don't forget to do some research because there are so many discount promotion is going on. 

I used my check card for discount and got 50% and so does my friend. 

(To be honest here, you can you any card from Korean bank and get 50% discount) 

Also, few rides are accepting reservation if it is not too late.

So, if you want to try as many rides as you can, use reservation service.

How to become 'not-wanted' person for big companies.

This is nothing to do with traveling in Korea but just my personal story.
As returning the book I borrowed last time, I was wandering the library to choose another book to read. Then a book dragged my eyes... The title of the book was '누가 무지개 깃발을 짓밟는가'. Its english title was Unfinished lives. It was about people who fought for discrimination or died for it.

It was so obvious that I would love to read the book. But for a second I hesitated to bringing to the check out desk to rent it. And that's shame of mine. 

It's been more than 6 months since I came back to Korea after my graduation. Then was preparing to get a job in Korea. I have been reading newspaper and practicing to think as the person who the big corporation would want to hire.

"You should be better than others but shouldn't be distinguishable." 

This was what my friend told me when I just started to get a job in Korea. Now I understand what he meant. I hesitated to read the book since I was afraid that I would think different from others. 

Mayor of Seoul, Won-soon Park, said that he cannot support same sex marriage as a mayor of Seoul. It could be same for me maybe. I should not support same sax marriage as a part of company but still support them personally.
